Wedding Photography and Video at The Great Barn // Simon and Ingrid

On the 14th July 2017 Simon and Ingrid held their marriage ceremony at The Great Barn in Banbury.  Ingrid got ready at the barn, supported by her mother and best friend, with the talented Lucy Beesley MUA. In her beautiful wedding gown from Love Bridal, holding her trailing bouquet of white flowers, by Hibiscus Floral Design, Ingrid stood before us as a gorgeous, glowing bride.
Played in by her Step-Dad’s guitar trio The McAlleys, Ingrid gracefully walked  with a beaming smile to meet Simon at the end of the aisle.
After vows were shared and tears were shed, the newly wed couple were whisked away on the ground’s buggy for their photoshoot. Our photographer captured some beautiful shots through the lush greenery and over the lilly-pad carpeted lake.
Simon and Ingrid then returned to mingle with friends and family, enjoying the delicious canopies the barn had to offer. Once the ceremony room had been transformed into beautifully decorated dining quarters, thanks to Yellow Star Designs, guests were invited to their seats for the couple’s grand entrance as husband and wife.
Like a theatre encall, the most enthusiastic round of applause that the Finishing Touch team have ever heard accompanied Simon and Ingrid into the wedding breakfast.
Heartfelt and hilarious speeches then followed, leaving the guests in tears and stitches. Provided by Kearney’s Catering, a grand three course meal was presented and guests awed over the lovely wedding cake from Marks & Spencers.
Before the sun set, the team brought the happy couple out into the corn fields for an atmospheric photo shoot, capturing the golden sun amidst the golden grains.
With a live band Blue Juice Simon and Ingrid had their first dance and were quickly joined by friends and family who certainly knew how to bogey.
Everything came into place perfectly for this wedding celebration and we are so grateful to have captured such a wonderful day.

Wedding Photography and Video at The Belfry Hotel, Sutton Colfield // Nik & Kerry

Nik and Kerry got married at The Belfry Hotel in Sutton Coldfield and my what a colourful wedding it was.

Kerry got ready with her nearest and dearest at the hotel. She wore a beautiful pink and gold Indian outfit matched with gold Jimmy Choo shoes, while her bridesmaids wore navy and blush dresses. Once Kerry was ready, we were able to capture some portraits of our stunning Bride along with some family portraits.
Kerry walked down the aisle with her father to meet her husband-to-be and the service began.
Once the wedding ceremony was complete, the couple headed outside for group photographs with their nearest and dearest. This gave us a chance to get the group shots out the way so we could have some time with our couple to capture the two of them during the couple’s photoshoot. As the newlyweds decided they weren’t going to change outfits, we had enough time to make use of the venue grounds and headed over to the golf course for some images around the bridge and fields. Our team certainly do love getting on golf buggies! We headed back to the venue for more photographs indoors so that the couple had lots of variety.
Nik and Kerry made their grand entrance into the reception to cut their cake. After this they sat down at their top table ready for their speeches, which then lead on to them being invited onto the dance floor for their first dance as Husband and Wife. The dance floor opened and the guests joined them to celebrate their new married journey.
Congratulations Nik and Kerry. We wish you all the very best. Thank you for choosing the Finishing Touch to be part of your day.

Hindu Wedding Photography and Video at Loughborough Grammar School // Hiten & Pooja

Hiten and Pooja married in Spring 2017 in a grand Hindu Wedding at Loughborough Grammar School, which was very fitting for their love of Harry Potter!

When Pooja arrived to the venue we were able to sneak her away to capture some lovely bridal portraits. She wore a stunning traditional red and green bridal sari with matching accessories. Hiten and his guests arrived to the venue and the celebratory precession began with lots of dancing and singing along to dhol players. It was sure to be a lively and colourful wedding.
Hiten made his entrance into the venue to begin the first part of the ceremony. Pooja then made her entrance and walked down the aisle. The Hindu ceremony began, the couple made their vows and took their 7 steps into marriage.
Once the wedding ceremony had finished, guests made their way to grab some lunch while we took the couple away for some newly-wed portraits around the stunning grammar school grounds. It was a sunny afternoon and the blossom made for perfect Spring photographs. As the couple had planned for their reception party to be the following day, we had plenty of time to capture some beautiful footage and photographs.
Once Hiten and Pooja had a little time to unwind and have some lunch it was time to say goodbye to their guests in a traditional Vidaai ceremony. Guests lined up while the Bride and Groom did their rounds of bidding farewell.
The day, the couple headed to Domain Plaza in West Bromwich to celebrate their new married life. They had an awesome Marvel/Harry Potter novelty wedding cake and a huge “Mr & Mrs” light up display. Before the guests arrived we captured couple portraits around the inside of the venue. Pooja wore a navy blue indian party dress while Hiten opted for a navy suit to match his lovely wife. The guests entered the reception and the couple made their grand entrance to kick start their celebrations.  They evening included a dance act by 3 younger guests and a jazz musical act by Pooja’s brother’s band.
It was a fantastic lively party, we had so much fun capturing it. Congratulations once again Hiten and Pooja. Thank you for choosing the Finishing Touch to be part of your day!

Hindu Wedding Photography and Video at The Belfry Hotel // Alpesh & Nisha

We had a jam-packed day for Alpesh and Nisha’s wedding celebrations. The couple tied the knot in a Civil Ceremony followed by a traditional Hindu Wedding Ceremony and Reception, which all took place at The Belfry Hotel in Sutton Coldfield.
Nisha got ready in her hotel room, with the help of talented Jaineesha Make-Up and Hair Artist.  Nisha’s first outfit of the day was a stunning white wedding dress which she wore with her hair down with soft makeup for the civil ceremony. Once she was ready, she she made her way down to the foyer to surprise her husband- to- be in a “First Look” photoshoot followed by a couples photoshoot session and photographs of the couple with their close loved ones.

Once the couple exchanged their vows and became an official married couple, they walked back down the aisle together and were showered with confetti. We were given access to the roof of the ceremony room… Yes… THE ROOF! where we were able to look down onto the wedding guests to capture the big group shot.
Guests headed back inside to mingle, which gave our couple chance to sneak off to change into their traditional Indian wedding attire.  Our lovely bride wore a beautiful off-white, red and green outfit with matching jewellery. Jaineesha gave her a completely different look for the Indian ceremony . Once  ready, we captured a few shots of Nisha with her new look before leaving her to have a few quiet minutes to herself.
Meanwhile, Alpesh made his way to the wedding ceremony room. He’d  changed into a traditional Sherwani for the Hindu ceremony. It was a tad rainy during the day but this didn’t stop our Groom and his nearest and dearest having a little dance outside to the beat of the Dhol player drumming away.
Nisha entered the room and the Hindu ceremony began.  The couple had some photographs taken with guests on the stage before they both headed off to get changed one last time for their reception party whilst their Guests were entertained with champagne.
Once Alpesh and Nisha were ready for their reception, we took them out around the grounds of The Belfry to capture another couples photoshoot in their lovely 3rd outfits of the day. Luckily, the sun had come out just before sunset so we were able to capture beautifully lit photos outdoors with the hazy sun creating a stunning glow.
The newlyweds entered their reception dancing through a crowed of cheering guests. We love it when our couples own their entrance! They headed straight to the dance floor  to cut their wedding cake before sitting down at the top-table to hear speeches from their nearest and dearest.  The couple took centre stage for their first dance as Mr and Mrs. They surprised guests with a choreographed routine halfway through their first dance which was lovely to capture. This officially opened the dance floor for guests to join them and what a crazy party it was, full of energy and laughter and we had so much fun staying till the end.
We would like to wish the newlyweds a magical married journey and want to thank you for choosing us to be part of your special day.

Sikh Wedding Photography and Video at Stratford Manor // Harjinder and Nav

Harjinder and Nav got married in a religious sikh wedding ceremony at Leamington Spa Gurdwara. The couple both get ready at their respective family homes with their loved ones. We were able to capture some family photographs while the couple were surrounded with their loved along with some portrait shots of both Bride and Groom in their homes.
It decided to rain in the morning, so once all the guests got to the Gurdwara, the milni (exchange of garlands) was held inside the foyer before Harjinder made his entrance into the wedding ceremony, later followed by our lovely bride Nav. The registry wedding took place first before the traditional sikh ceremony began. Once the 4 laavan were complete, guests had the opportunity to give a gift of money and congratulate the couple.  The couple then had a few portraits shot in the ceremony room before entering the langhar hall (food hall) to have a sit down meal, followed by the goodbye ceremony, where the brides family wishes her farewell before she starts her new married journey.
The couple had their reception party at Stratford Manor, in Leamington Spa. The sun finally came out so we were able to take the couple around the grounds to have a lovely couples photoshoot. Harjinder wore a 3 piece suit while Nav chose a lovely blue lengha with pink details for her 2nd outfit. As guests arrived and got seated, the couple made their grand entrance into the venue and headed for the cake table. The venue was decorated with light tones and peach details. Harjinder and Nav had an entourage of dancing loved ones follow them in during their grand entrance. This was going to be a pretty crazy party! Once the couple cut their cake, they took a breather by heading to their top-table and tucking into their starters.[/spoiler] The newlyweds stepped onto the dance floor for their first dance to celebrate their new journey. The DJ invited everyone onto the dance floor to join the couple once the first dance had finished and the party well and truly began. To finish off the night we took the couple to have some final creative images taken. We had such a blast being part of your day Harjinder and Nav. Thank you for choosing us to capture your special moments.

Sikh Wedding Photography and Video at Park Hall, Woverhampton // Pav & Dilraj

Dilraj and Pav had a beautiful Sikh wedding ceremony at Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Willenhall. Pav got ready at her family home in Wolverhampton and was surrounded by her loved ones from near and far. She wore beautiful detailed Indian bridal outfit with a bright orange dupatta to add a bit of summery contrast. Once Pav was ready, we took formal photographs with her main family in front of her lovely home, before she set off on her way to the Gurdwara.  Dilraj also got ready at his family home in Telford with his nearest and dearest. He wore a traditional Indian Groom’s outfit, a champagne gold sherwani.

The couple met in the darbar sahib to officially become husband and wife. Once their Sikh wedding ceremony had finished, we took the couple outside of the Gurdwara to capture some couples photos before they headed off to get changed. The couple chose the beautiful Ramada Park Hall Hotel to hold their reception party in. We had some of our team head to the venue to capture details of the decor and grounds before the guests started to arrive. Pav changed into a beautiful golden Indian gown for the reception while Dilraj put on a 3 piece suit. While guests mingled and waited for the couple, the renowned Gabhru Punjab De bhangra dancers. The couple had a quick photoshoot in they new outfits before they entered to cut their cake.

Pav’s sisters made an emotional yet funny speech along with Dilraj’s best friends and Dilraj himself. This lead onto their first dance, which we LOVED as it was choreographed and made for a beautiful capture. The dance floor opened and the celebrations began. These guys know how to party! After a long evening of celebrations, Dilraj surprised Pav with a vintage car for them both to leave in. Pav and Dilraj continued with the traditional Doli and Paniwaarna ceremonies before the night ended.

Pav and Dilraj, you make a lovely couple and we are so thankful you chose The Finishing Touch team to capture your special moments.

Wedding Photography and Video at Stables Lodge // Fleur & Martin

Martin and Fleur tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at St Wystan’s Church in Repton, Derbyshire.  Fleur’s Mother owns the beautiful Stables Lodge set in a scenic countryside, where Fleur got ready in the morning with her adorable children. Her 4 year old daughter Freya was her Bridesmaid and her little boy Henry, who was 21 months old was the Pageboy. They looked incredibly cute in their little Bridesmaid and Pageboy outfits!
After their beautiful wedding ceremony the couple headed back to Stables Lodge for their reception, which was set up in a marquee on the grounds.  A Harpist entertained guests as they mingled and congratulated the newlyweds. Once the guests were seated, a Toastmaster announced the speeches, which were given by Fleur’s Brother, Oliver Martin’s Bestman, and Martin himself. Oh boy, were the speeches emotional. Tissues at the ready for team Finishing Touch!
Meals were presented after the speeches and once the guests had completed their meals, we took Fleur and Martin out to neighbouring corn fields for their couples photoshoot. We really liked the golden light during the evening and were surrounded by beautiful cornfields, which made for some beautiful couple’s portraits. Fleur and Martin were a dream to capture and the setting for the shoot was incredibly dreamy too!
After their photoshoot as a newly married couple, the couple went back into the marquee for their cake cutting and first dance. We were greeted by a huge “LOVE” sign, which created a beautiful light and background from the couple’s first dance. The dance floor officially opened and the party started to celebrate the marriage of Martin and Fleur.
We adored this beautiful wedding day and cannot thank Martin and Fleur enough for having us be part of their special day.

Hindu & Chinese Wedding Photography at Grand Station// Leanne & Kwok

Kwok and Leanne married at Grand Station Banqueting Suite in Wolverhampton. Leanne got ready at home and Kwok headed to the venue to finish off his last preparations, where two of our team were waiting to capture Kwok and his family arriving.
The couple had a civil ceremony followed by a hindu ceremony within Grand Central. For the civil ceremony, Leanne wore a lovely 2 piece outfit. The top was a silver and blush sequin blouse with a blush pink skirt to compliment the blush and white flowers and the bridesmaids’ pink blush dresses. Ravita Pannu created the 2 very different, beautiful makeup and hair looks.
After the civil ceremony the couple had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where Kwok’s family give the couple gifts and share herbal tea. Once the couple were officially married, they had a few family photographs outside the venue and a break where a small breakfast was served. This allowed Kwok and Leanne some time to get changed for the traditional Hindu wedding.
For the Hindu wedding, Leanne wore a stunning traditional indian wedding lengha, which was mainly red but full of vibrant blues and oranges. Kwok wore a traditional indian wedding sherwani in blues, yellows and gold detailing. Once the wedding finished, the couple and their guests head back to the foyer area where there was a drinks reception, canapés and a little Photo Booth set up. We had the opportunity to float around and capture guests mingling as well as take some shots of the decor and details within the reception hall.
The couple made their entrance straight to the cake table, where they had photographs with friends and family feeding them cake. Starters came out, which lead to the could sitting down for speeches. Both Kwok and his best man gave heartfelt and funny speeches. After speeches the couple stepped onto the dance floor to take their first dance as husband and wife. They danced to Coldplay’s Magic and the dance floor soon opened for ally he guests to join them.
Thank you for having us be part of your day Kwok and Leanne. We wish you a wonderful married life.

Wedding Photography and Video at Birmingham City Council House // Lee & Kam

Lee and Kam had a lovely civil ceremony at The Council House in Birmingham followed by an evening reception at the Saffron Centre  Kam got ready at her parents home while Lee got ready at the couples lovely home, both in Birmingham. Lee wore a tailored suit with a bespoke tag sewn into his inside pocket, which had his name and the date of his wedding written. We love personal touches!
Once Kam arrived, we managed to get a few images and footage of her entering the grand staircase before the ceremony began. A Pianist provided music while Kam and her lovely father made their way down the aisle. Once the wedding ceremony was complete guests headed to the back of the room where there was a display of cakes, snacks, teas and coffees. Guests mingled while the pianist continued to provide background music. We may have also helped ourselves to a cheeky coffee and cake.
Lee and Kam had booked a lovely bedroom and lounge suite at the Hyatt Hotel nearby the Council House. This gave us a chance to take some couple portrays of the newlyweds before their closest guests arrived for a meal. We hung around to capture some of the guests mingling before we left Kam, Lee and their guests to it.
As the reception party was in the evening, we had a chance to have a lengthy break and recharge ourselves as well as our batteries before we made or way to the Saffron Centre. The team split so that 2 members went to cover the venue decor and 2 members went over to Lee and Kam’s room at the Hyatt to capture images of them in their 2nd outfits.
The couple made their entrance into the reception hall, lead by a talented Saxophone player. The headed straight to the cake table on the dance floor to cut their wedding cake. Once they fed each other cake and got some photographs with their loved ones, they surprised all the guests with a choreographed ballroom-bhangra dance fusion. A perfect way to get the dance floor open for all their guests to join them in their celebrations.
Congratulations Lee and Kam. We are delighted to have been part of your wedding journey. Thank you for having us.

Wedding Photography at Coombe Abbey, Coventry

Wedding Photography and Video at Coombe Abbey // Richard & Cheryl

Coombe Abbey in Coventry has become a second home to the Finishing Touch team. We were back there in July for the wedding of Richard and Cheryl. The couple both got ready in their rooms at the historical country hotel with the talented, awarded winning makeup artist Chloe McCall getting our Bride red carpet ready. The girls wore pretty mint green gowns and Cheryl wore a beautiful fitted and detailed white wedding dress, with a long cathedral veil. Richard made his way into their wedding ceremony room, the Cloisters, while Cheryl had her final photos with her Bridesmaids and father, who gave her away. The room was filled with fresh mint green decor and candles placed on the main table and down the aisle to create a romantic atmosphere.

Once the couple had said their vows and officially became Husband and Wife, we took them for their group formal photographs. Thankfully the weather stayed dry, so we were able to take  the couple around the stunning grounds of Coombe Abbey for a quick photoshoot.
Guests entered the marquee, where the wedding breakfast and reception was held. Speeches began and one of the best men surprised the guests with an acoustic song. After the speeches, while guests mingled and got ready for the reception party, we took Richard and Cheryl out around the grounds again for another Bride and Groom photo session. We are so pleased with the footage and photographs, you two were great in front of our lenses!
Once the evening guests had arrived, the couple went back into the marquee to cut their wedding cake before stepping onto the dance floor for their first dance as Husband and Wife. They had The Live Lounge wedding band sing their first dance song. We love live music on a wedding day! This lead to the dance floor opening where guests joined the couple to get the party started.
The Finishing Touch team had a great time capturing your wedding day. Thank you for choosing us to be part of your special day!

Hindu Wedding Photography at pitville pumps

Hindu Wedding Photography & Video at Pittville Pumps // Bal & Rakhee

We had a wonderful time capturing Bal and Rakhee’s wedding recently. They hired The Finishing Touch for both photography and videography coverage of their grand Hindu Wedding, which was held at the Pittville Pump Room  over in Cheltenham. Rakhee got ready at her parents home in Gloucester, where we were able to capture stunning morning preparation shots, along with some family photographs before she left for the wedding venue. Bal opted to get ready at the scenic and beautiful Balcarras Farm Cottages, which is located in Cheltenham.

Once Rakhee made her entrance into her wedding, we could see from the couple’s smiles and interactions with each other that they were two best friends, who found love with one another that lead them to this milestone day. You adorable pair!!

There was so much potential around the ground for a lovely couples photoshoot, so after the wedding ceremony, we were able to take the Bal and Rakhee outside for a quick photoshoot session. The newly weds then got changed into their evening outfits ready for their reception. Before making their grand entrance as Husband and Wife, we took a few snaps of them again outside their venue. This led into their grand entrance, where Bal and Rakhee danced and giggled their way through the crowd of guests. We love it when couples show their personalities comfortably, to a room full of people sharing their happy moments together.

Throughout the couple’s wedding, not only did their love for one another beam, but their friendship and playful interactions left such a fun buzz throughout their special day. To end the night, we took Bal and Rakhee outside one last time to capture the couple outside the Pittville Pump Room. The venue was beautifully lit up up in the dark, which gave us the perfect end to their wedding day story.

We can’t thank you enough Bal and Rakhee, for choosing us to share your story of love and friendship.

Sikh Wedding Photography and Video at Tower Ballroom// Kiran and Sam

Sam and Kiran were hitched in a beautiful Sikh Ceremony on a sunny July day. They married at the Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Willenhall, surrounded by their loved ones.  In the morning, Kiran got ready at her family home in Wolverhampton, where the talented Hair and Makeup Artist Lavoi Deo glammed up our beautiful Bride for her wedding day. Kiran wore a traditional classic-red Indian Bridal outfit set with stunning Jimmy Choo wedding shoes. Once she was ready, she was chaperoned to the Gurdwara by Finishing Touch Cars.
Sam also got ready at his home in Sutton Coldfield with his main family surrounding him. He wore a striking gold and red Sherwani, which is a traditional Indian Groom’s wedding outfit. It was champagne gold in colour, with red accents and stunning embellishment. The couple looked like royalty together!
Once their religious Sikh wedding was complete, the couple changed parts of their outfits before heading to their Reception party, which was being held at The Tower Ballroom in Birmingham. We took Sam and Kiran for a quick outdoor photoshoot before they made their grand entrance to celebrate their marriage.
Traditionally, for the uninitiated, an Indian Bride leaves the party early to go home and await her new husband to pick her up and take her home. Before he is allowed to enter the Brides family home, he must barter at the door with the Brides sisters and female cousins. They tease him and he must offer them money in order to enter the family home. Sam was greeted by a “No entry without fee” barrier and an army of Kiran’s female family members. Once he was allowed in, the Doli ceremony began. This is where the bride emotionally says goodbye to her loved ones as she is taken from her home to start a new life as a married woman. The couple left to go to Sam’s family home, where they played a traditional game of “kangna” to welcome Kiran into their home.
The Finishing Touch team had great time capturing your Sikh wedding and reception party. We can’t thank you enough for choosing us to be part of your day. All the best Sam and Kiran! x

Fusion Wedding Photography at The Belfry Hotel, Sutton Coldfield

Wedding Photography and Video at The Belfry Hotel // Pheobe & Sanj

Sanj and Phoebe were married in a lovely civil ceremony at The Belfry Hotel & Golf Resort in Sutton Coldfield. Phoebe got ready at The Belfry assisted by her very proud Mum and bridesmaids. She wore a stunning white dress, beautifully embellished from the waist up, both front and back, while her bridesmaids wore vibrant coral dresses. Phoebe personalised her Miss KG wedding shoes from Kurt Geiger with blue diamanté  “I Do” stickers on the soles!

Once the couple shared their vows and said their “I Do’s” they headed to the grounds for a short photo session with family and friends, giving their guests a chance to congratulate the newly married couple on tying the knot. Once inside their reception hall guests were seated for the wedding breakfast and speeches. After speeches, we took Sanj and Phoebe around the grounds of The Belfry for their “Bride & Groom” photoshoot. The Belfry has a world famous golf course, a beautiful lake and attractive bridge that was the perfect setting for their photoshoot. Their transport was a golf buggy which made for some rather fun photo’s as can be seen below!

Once the couple returned to the venue they cut their lovely gold and white wedding cake before heading onto the dance floor for their first dance as Mr and Mrs. The music was provided by Perfect Soundz DJ’s. Sanj and Phoebe slipped away during their evening party to change into their traditional Asian party outfits. Sanj wore a lovely white sherwani with magenta piping to match Phoebe’s stunning magenta Indian Lengha, embellished with lots of sparkly diamanté. Just beautiful!! We snuck the couple away again for a quick  photoshoot in their new traditional outfits before they headed back onto the dance floor for their lively party!

We had such a great time at Sanj and Phoebe’s wedding at one of our favourite venues!! It was full of fun, laughter and love and we can’t thank the lovely newlyweds enough for choosing us to be part of their big day!

Sikh Wedding Photography at Colwick Hall

Asian Wedding Photography and Video at Colwick Hall // Ricky & Raj

Where can we start with Ricky and Raj’s grand wedding day. We pulled out all the stops for this lovely couple, as they had one of the biggest weddings we have had the privilege of photographing and filming this year.

Ricky started off his wedding celebrations at home in Birmingham with 2 days of pre- wedding events, which included his Maiya, Mehndi and Jaggo Party. Raj did the same at her home in Nottingham. We had a photographer and a videographer go out to both their homes to cover both the pre-events. This gave us a chance to get to know them and their families in the run up to their wedding, which is always great because it allows our couples and families to feel comfortable around cameras and crew.

On the morning of the wedding, Ricky got ready at home. He wore a traditional sherwani fit for a sikh wedding and looked like royalty. Before heading off to Nottingham, Ricky had a traditional send off with a little trek down his road on a horse and a live indian “band baja” to lead him and his family. Raj also got ready at home and wore a stunning traditional Indian wedding outfit. She looked truly beautiful! Following some family photo’s, Raj awaited the arrival of Ricky and his entourage to their family home.  The couple then had a traditional sikh wedding at their Gurdwara in Nottingham.

After the wedding ceremony, the newly married couple, along with their families and guests headed to Colwick Hall Hotel, for a grand wedding reception. We captured some photographs and video footage of the couple in their traditional Indian wedding outfits before they headed off to get changed for the wedding reception. Ricky and Raj   looked amazing in their reception outfits that we couldn’t miss the opportunity to take them around the grounds of Colwick Hall Hotel for a Bride and Groom photoshoot.

The venue had a beautiful bright marquee set up in its scenic garden area. Diamond Weddings provided the reception decor, which included huge stunning centre pieces and a beautiful elegant glass-like top table. Just amazing! Shivam Events provided the canapés and 3 course meal and the couple had a surprise live act PBN who came to perform a few songs once the dance floor had opened.

Ricky and Raj, it was a pleasure being part of your pre-wedding events and your wedding day. We can’t thank you enough for choosing The Finishing Touch to not only become part of your family for a few days but also to capture your grand Sikh wedding.

Sikh Wedding Photography and Video at Dunchurch Park // Arron & Jagdeep

Arron and Jag were married at Leamington Spa Gurdwara and held their Reception at the lovely Dunchurch Park Hotel, who have a marquee in their grounds for larger weddings.

Jag got ready at home in Leamington Spa, surrounded by her loved ones and wore a stunning traditional Indian bridal lengha in a classic red colour. Arron also got ready at his home, in Wolverhampton, where we were able to capture some atmospheric portraits of him before he set off to the Gurdwara. He wore a red and gold sherwani from Unique in Wolverhampton. With all the morning traditions of a punjabi wedding complete, Arron got into his wedding car while friends and family danced on the streets in celebration. We could tell this was going to be a super joyous occasion!

After the wedding ceremony the couple had some portraits captured while guests mingled and found their seats in the lovely marquee. Arron went and changed for the Reception party and the lovely newly weds made their grand entrance. They headed onto the dance floor where there cake was waiting to be cut. The couple went on to have their first dance after they cut their cake and the dance floor truly did open for guests. It  got busy very quickly, these folks know how to party for sure!

While guests sat down for their main course we took Arron and Jag out around the grounds of Dunchurch Park to have more couple portraits done. in front of the camera and We managed to take the couple all the way to the lake to get a a variation of different shots before they headed back onto the dance floor to continue with their party.

Jag left the party early to go back home and await her new husband to arrive, pay her girls to enter her family home and then collect her to take her to her new married journey with him. Once the Doli ceremony finished, the team headed to Arron’s home in Wolverhampton to capture the final parts of the day. Again, friends and family danced in the streets outside of Arron’s home to start the “paaniwarna ceremony”. Arron and Jag entered the house and played post wedding games to welcome Jag into their family. The night ended on a happy high and we felt very welcomed into both families for the wedding weekend.

We truly hope you had a fantastic day and can’t thank you enough for choosing us to capture your special moments. All the best from the Finishing Touch Team.

Wedding Photography and Video at Hilton Hotel, Coventry // Rachna & Saif

Rachna and Saif got married at Coventry’s Hilton Hotel in a lovely Civil Ceremony. Rachna wore a lovely long red Asian bridal outfit, while Saif opted for a suit. Before heading into their wedding ceremony, we took the lovely Husband and Wife-to-be to Caludon Castle Park for a photoshoot session. Here, we were able to capture the couple feeling relaxed and fresh before the busy day ahead of them.

Once the photoshoot was done, the couple headed back to the venue, ready to share their vows. It was a beautifully effortless civil ceremony, great to capture!

The newlyweds had some formal photographs taken with their nearest and dearest before Saif went off to get changed for the sit-down meal. His 2nd outfit was a traditional Asian Grooms outfit and he looked like royalty. The couple made their grand entrance and headed for the stage where their Bride and Groom seats were. They had a few more family photographs before we swanned them off for a few more photographs around the grounds of Hilton Hotel, before they headed back into their reception ready for speeches to take place.

We had a lovely time capturing the wedding of Rachna and Saif. The Finishing Touch team wish you all the very best and thank you for making us part of your day.

What a dream Christopher and Katie’s wedding was for our Finishing Touch photographers. We first met the couple when they had an engagement shoot, which gave them a feel for being in front of the camera. Their wedding day itself was a very relaxed and a dead on time wedding, which is a rarity but we loved it after such a busy August. The couple married in a lovely civil wedding ceremony at Prestwold Hall  in Loughborough, a venue we are visiting more and more throughout the years. Katie got ready with her bridesmaids and mother over in Prestwold Hall’s bridal suite. She opted for a classic and elegant look with the talented, award winning Makeup Artist Rochelle O’Brien glamming her up.

Katie wanted to do a “First Look” with Chris, so we had a little fun teasing the couple by making them hold hands from behind a door, and then telling Chris to leave the room… Oh the suspense! It was all worth it though, as the big “first look” reveal lead to Chris getting teary at seeing his stunning Bride appear. After the first look photo session, we took the couple off to have further photographs around the beautiful grounds of the venue before any guests arrived. The interactions between the couple were so natural, they barely needed any direction.

Katie was given away by her lovely Father, while the wonderfully talented Bow Belles String Quartet played the perfect song for Katie to walk down the aisle to.

After the couple exchanged their vows and officially became Mr and Mrs, they headed to the venue’s gardens to mingle and indulge in celebratory drinks and canapoes. This gave our photographers the chance to gather all of the guests for a big group shot before capturing smaller groups with the newlyweds. Guests were later seated for the wedding breakfast, which was again very relaxed and intimate. While the DJ set up, guests had a chance to mingle again, and the bar officially opened. Evening guests arrived and got ready to put their best dance moves to the test. We captured a few more photographs with the couple before they opened the dance floor. The opted to not have a first dance for just the two of them, but instead wanted all of their loved ones to have their first celebratory dance as a group, which was a beautiful idea.

Thank you Katie and Christopher for having us be part of your special day. We had so much fun capturing your day.
