The trend of having Engagement (or Pre-Wedding photo shoot) is on the rise, and it’s not without reason! It’s an ideal chance to capture breathtaking, expertly taken photos that you can cherish for a long time.

But if you don’t have time for that, just now, here’s our top 5 Frequently Asked Questions regarding Sikh Weddings.
How long have you been Photographing Sikh weddings?
Pam and Ian have been running the business for the past 18 years and mainly filmed and photographed civil/church weddings and a few interfaith/fusion weddings between Hindu and Christian and Hindu and Sikh.
Due to the positive feedback of the photos and video we captured and edited, we found ourselves being asked to do more ‘one faith’ Hindu weddings and then, a year later, Sikh Weddings- which turned out to be a huge miles stone for us- as we undertook 6 Sikh weddings the following year!
Consequently, our business has gradually changed direction, over the past 10 years, towards Indian Weddings.
In 2022 95% of all our bookings were Sikh Weddings.’
How are payments split?
A Booking Fee of 10% of the total balance is paid to secure the wedding date/s.
A balance of 40% is payable 6 weeks before the wedding and then 35% will be payable before receiving your wedding photographs.
The remaining balance will be payable once you reach the top position of the video editing schedule.
Once Paid the Video edit is usually completed within 6 weeks
How long will the film be?
This will depend on the length of the wedding day and how many rituals there are. Each of the ceremonies is normally recorded as a live production from multiple cameras which can vary the length of the film. But, on average, a Sikh wedding can be between 4 – 5 hours long.Â
Pre Wedding Parties can also be between 1 – 2 hours long.
Each wedding package also includes a Cinematic Video highlights Trailer and is edited to one track of music, which is provided by the client.
Can we have some drone footage for the wedding day?
Yes you can.
We now offer 2 options which are ideal for any wedding venue thats a Hotel or Hall with lots of greenery and land around them. **
Establishing Footage- £195.
If you just require footage of the Venue, to be used on the video highlights and wedding film as an introduction shot of the wedding day.
Wedding Day Footage – £395
If you believe there will be lots of opportunities to film guest/family out side of the venue, We will book a separate company to do this who will have the CAA Licence and Insurance.
** By law we are not permitted to use drones in a built-up conurbation area without prior permission from the council – which is very difficult!
Do I really need a crane?
Well, it’s not compulsory, but it does offer great aerial footage of the dancing, especially in the middle of the dance floor, where it’s sometimes difficult to see from the dance floor periphery.
Without a crane, we rely on the DJ having a raised platform to get those shots, but that usually depends on the venue or DJ providing one.
